Powerless is the debut novel from Lauren Roberts. She wrote it when she was 16, indie published at 20, was picked up by a publishing house and had a NYT bestseller by 21yrs old. Impressive hey? She is also huge on Tiktok and has built a solid following on the platform. We read Powerless over the summer and we enjoyed it as a young adult fiction. Yes it’s full of popular tropes like enemies to lovers and underdog protagonist takes part in trials to survive so you need to go into it knowing that you are going to have a light, enjoyable, quick read. It also has some HOT prince brothers who are very enjoyable to read and a slow burn that kept us turning the pages. We recommend following this up and coming author, there is some real potential here.
